Giver of Life: Yael Deckelbaum & the Mothers

This year I am looking for lightness & relaxation at Christmas!
That’s why I post on the holy days a holiday video. On the 7. of October 2017, one day after the Women’s March in Jaffa, it was Sabbath in Israel. Saturday’s Sabbath is the day off in Jewish culture where everybody should avoid any work. Just as the Christmas holidays should now be for family recreation, for a time of relaxation and rest, of going within and of peace. Because exactly in such times one can think best of all. It’s about remembering the “essentials”. Even if the time before Christmas is often stressful, combined with all the consumerism full of bright Christmas decorations, where you can not find your Christmas tree in the amount of all these trees. At the most families the holy days usually begin with strife and quarrels … Everything must be perfectly planned and prepared. But it is starting to get a time of peace if then on the 24th of December all have come to rest at the latest at Christmas dinner, if then all disagreements have been discussed and harmony and a joyful togetherness is coming through and everyone is reminding of the “essentials”. In these “essentials” we find a gathering of virtues:

self-love and of course peace.

All very feminine aspects. Just as we remember the holy birth through a woman at Christmas. Because the “essentials” refer above all to life. Just as God was getting bored in “Tohuwabohu” (Hebrew for chaos) and so he created humans on the seventh day. They were at the beginning sexless it is said in the Bible, but in truth we know today that we were all women… Every embryo is female at the beginning, consisting of female chromosomes.
May we all reflect on these “essentials” in us, these very feminine qualities in each one of us, man or woman! This contemplating and pauseing leads us to an easier and more joyful togetherness. May we take these virtues with us every day and may we integrate more into every further day of our lives. May 2018 thus be a year of connection and peace!

„Women’s March for Peace – June 2018 in Berlin“

When I started to love myself,
I understood that I always and on every occasion
am in the right place at the right time
and that everything that happens is right –
from then on I could be calm.
Today I know: that’s called TRUST.When I started to love myself,
I could realize that emotional pain and suffering
only are warnings for me to live against my own truth.
Today I know: that is called AUTHENTICITY.When I started to love myself,
I have stopped longing for another life
and could see that everything around me was an invitation to grow.
Today I know, that’s called “MATURITY”.When I started to love myself,
I stopped robbing myself of my free time
and I’ve stopped designing great projects for the future.
Today I only do what I enjoy and enjoy
what I love and what makes my heart laugh,
in my own way and at my own pace.
Today I know, that’s called HONESTY.When I started to love myself,
I have freed myself from everything that was not healthy for me,
of food, people, things, situations
and of everything that pulled me down again and again, away from myself.
At beginning I called it “healthy egoism”
but today I know that is “SELF-LOVE”.When I started to love myself,
I’ve always stopped wanting to be right
so I was less wrong.
Today I realized: this is called HUMILITY.

When I started to love myself,
I refused to live on in the past
and to worry about my future.
Now I live only in the moment where EVERYTHING takes place
so I live today every day and call it “AWARENESS”.

When I started to love myself,
I started to realize that my thinking
can make me miserable and sick.
However, when I requested my heart forces,
the mind got an important partner.
I call this connection “HEARTWISDOM”.

We do not need to fear further discussion,
conflicts and problems with ourselves and others,
because even stars sometimes pop each other
and new worlds are born.
Today I know, THAT’S LIFE!
